To understand the Krames StayWell Web Services, it is important to understand some basic terminology.
Blocking - Content can be blocked from an individual license. For example, a facility may not want certain news articles to display on their site. In this case, news content can be blocked, which prevents anyone from viewing this content. A license administrator can selectively unblock certain content, which allows the content to again be available to everyone on the site. An administrator can block content for an entire content type as well as specific content. Blocked content does not show up in search results or related items.
Collection - A collection is a grouping of content. There are two types of collections: standard and dynamic. All content is licensed through collections, as access to a collection provides access to all the content that collection contains.
- Dynamic Collection - A dynamic collection is a collection of content without any specific logical grouping. A dynamic collection is defined as any content that meets one or more of the following criteria: belongs to a specific Content Type Id; is a specific language; has been assigned one or more specific MeSH codes. Dynamic collections are used to support news and other content that has a high frequency of change. To support very specific news (e.g. news related to men's health), a dynamic collection can be created (based off the news Content Type Id), which is then filtered by the appropriate MeSH terms that match the subject of interest.
- Standard Collection - A standard collection is a specific grouping of content. The editorial staff at Krames StayWell organizes content through a standard collection in a way that makes clinical sense. A standard collection can be visually represented by a folder structure. Each "folder" can be thought of as a "subtopic". Each subtopic can contain either content, additional subtopics, or both. As an example, solution centers usually consist of a single collection that logically represents the organization of the content to be displayed.
Content Id - The Content Id is a unique number within a Content Type that is used to identify content. The combination of Content Type Id, Content Id, and Owner uniquely identifies each piece of content in the Krames StayWell content repository (UCR).
Content Type Id - An Id that identifies the Business Unit Content Type of content. All content is organized into content types, which are defined by the content owners. Some example content types include "Daily News", "Drug Reference", and "Videos". The organization of content into content types is a business unit specific task for internal organization and doesn't necessarily give any indication of what topics are included in the content.
Content Object - This refers to all of the data necessary to define a specific piece of content in the repository, be it a document or a streaming media object, including the displayable portion as well as any associated meta data. Common meta data elements include language code, alternate languages, blurb, title, authors, and indexing information.
License - A license is the mechanism used for assigning content to a paid subscriber. All licenses contain one or more collections. Additionally, all access to the Krames StayWell Web Services requires sending the sitename of the license in the URL.
SEO - Search Engine Optimization.
Service Lines -

- Page Keyword - The Page Keyword is one of approximately two thousand of the most common conditions, tests, procedures or topics, such as, atrial fibrillation, cardiac catheterization, etc. that represent the primary focus of a document's content. This field is commonly used to identify content that can be related to a very specific sub-specialty service or physician special clinical interest.
